We had a great time at the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce Bowling Challenge benefiting the Special Olympics on October 15, 2009 at the Bowl America on Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, VA 23112.
I’d like to thank my team members: Doug Horton of TeamLogic IT, Adam Peachee of the Carillon Financial Group and David Selk of Town Planner for participating. It was a great time getting to know each other in a competitive yet none business environment. Well somewhat competitive…not really, we were there having fun chumming it up. Special thanks goes out to Chuck Fairchild, manager of Bowl America for a wonderful venue for our event and all of the Chamber staff, sponsors and volunteers to make this event special. The food, beer and drinks were well organized and good as well. Even though it was rainy and cold outside…a good warm time was had by all – indoors.

Each team member had their own style: Doug Horton definitely had style and form that the rest of us could not touch, Adam Peachee had more of a casual form, yet effective, David Selk threw the ball with such FORCE that you felt like to you had to take cover from the flying pins…he felt that if he threw it hard enough pins should go down…and they DID! And my style is to throw the ball straight with precision. The scores, I know of, was Adam and I tied in the first round with 89 and in the second round Adam got a 125 and I had a 129. Doug and David where well over 100 in both games. I believe David won the first game after destroying the pins in the last frame. I got a turkey in the 6th, 7th and 8th frames of my second game! This is a first! And it was live, and for real…not Wii bowling.
